For the last 35 years, using ultrasound technology, we have been selecting some very special Angus cattle with distinct genetics that produce superior marbling for flavor and tenderness with the goal of producing a product that is noticeably superior to Wagu. This 35-year effort has been rewarded with amazing results! We now produce over 850 purebred Angus bulls annually, that carry these very special genetics. Each year, we provide these exceptional bulls to over 200 Western family ranches. These family ranches then produce calves with these unique (flavor and tenderness) genetics. These ranches follow our strict Riverbend Ranch requirements and never use growth hormones or feed their cattle antibiotics. Each fall we purchase approximately 45,000 of these special genetic calves from those families. These cattle then spend the next summer on lush mountain meadows on Riverbend Ranch in Idaho, and Wyoming. We feel strongly about humane handling and giving our cattle the best possible living conditions. The result is a product that our cowboys are very proud of! You’ll see why!
